Announcement for the Parish of St Andrew’s, Chelmsley Wood
The Bishop of Birmingham is delighted to announce the appointment of the Revd Andi Thomas as the next incumbent of St Andrew’s Chelmsley Wood.
Andi is currently a Pioneer Minister in the parish. He says, “St Andrew’s church is a wonderful place and I’m looking forward to seeing what God does as we continue serving in Chelmsley Wood taking up the role as vicar, building together on several years of pioneering on the estate”.
Details of Andi’s institution will be announced in due course – in the meantime, please keep Andi and his family in your prayers as they prepare for this new chapter.
Andy Pandys, imaginative and sensory play every Tuesday
10.00 - 11.30
We are very excited to announce that Andy Pand'y's has had a bit of a revamp and we know you are going to absolutely love and enjoy all the new things.
We believe in the importance of creating a space that will encourage children to have fun and use their amazing imaginations! We also acknowledge through conversations with local parents that many of the children in our community really enjoy different sensory experiences.
So, with this in mind we have created a play space that will combine the two from soft play, to a reading corner, dressing up, exploration tables, sensory pads and more.
We can’t wait to welcome you and your little people to the group. It’s going to be so much fun with play, songs, creative fun and friendship. £2.50 per child.

Church on the Wood Sunday 24th July 2022 @ 3pm
Church on the Wood is a family service with fun and interaction at the heart. An opportunity to gather together and enjoy craft activities, songs, fun, friends, and food, retelling the Christian faith in an informal & relaxed environment.
We gather together in one place, worship with modern worships songs, there will be no hymns sung here thank you and children will not be told to sit down and be silent, the opposite in fact. Here we want to make mess and noise and have fun and worship Jesus... We very much will encourage you to be who you are, loud, quiet, fidgety, high energy, you can stand up, sit down, move around, we don't mind.
Join us on Sunday 124th July @ 3pm in person to worship and grow together as a community. *no prior christian experience is needed, just come as you are!
For this service, we require you to book.
